Court Jesters?
Recently district court clerks from the surrounding area held their monthly meeting in Leoti. For a change of pace, they brought their lunch into the quilt shop and had lunch in our little coffee area. We always enjoy showing off our shop and we got to share in their wonderful lunch. Thanks for coming to visit us ladies!

Searches
It's always interesting to see what kinds of things people who visit our blog are looking for and where they are from. The most popular searches of late are Moda's collection of fabric called Northern Solitude and Andover's collection called Alpha Buddies, both of which we have in our shop. Other frequent search topics are 'stack and whack' and prairie flower quilt patterns.
What are you searching for? Stop by the shop and maybe we can help you!

A Strippin' & A Tumblin'
Here's a sneak peek of our shop hop quilt! Finished the top this weekend and waiting to finish the project in the quilting machine so that we can quilt it. The shop hop is September 10 -12. There are 10 shops in the hop, and at each shop you will receive six 3" strips. Each shop will have a different quilt design using all the strips (60 in all). You can then choose which quilt pattern to use to finish your quilt. The bright flowered border is the focus fabric that will be featured in every shop's quilt. Was definitely a challenge to come up with a design using such a variety of strips, but we're pleased with the way it turned out. We're anxious to see what the other shops' quilts will look like.

Paducah
Janet, and fellow quilter, Betty, recently enjoyed a week in Paducah, Kentucky at the American Quilter's Society Annual Quilt Show. Lots of beautiful quilts, throngs of quilters, piles of fabric, mountains of patterns, jillions of notions....and miles and miles of walking! They took in a couple of Eleanor Burn's shows and paused with her cutout for a photo. Stop in the shop and see the catalog they brought back of all the outstanding quilts that were on display.
