Kits & Patterns

We've been busy putting together a few kits and patterns that have been requested at the shop. For a quick and easy and oh soooo cute baby gift, pick up our new kit called "Teddy and Friends", featuring a sweet panel and jumbo rick rack details.....

We've also designed another pattern! "Paper Dolls" is another cute pattern that's a PF Quilts exclusive. The sample has been in the shop for a little while but the pattern was just completed. Again, buy the fabric for the project and get the pattern free!

We also have kits now for "The Haunted Hallow", a spooktacularly cute little wallhanging. Make this one up in an evening just in time for your fall decorating!

New Arrival

It's like Christmas at the shop when new fabric arrives. Today was especially fun opening all the boxes to reveal Kansas Trouble's new collection - "Vine Creek". We have the entire collection and will being starting a new Block A Month class in January featuring the fabric, called "Welcome to My Cabin". Class is limited to 11 participants. Stop in to see the new fabric and sign up for the class!

A PFQuilts Exclusive!

Prairie Flower Quilt Co. is proud to share our new pattern, "We Can Build A Snow Man!" You can get this adorable pattern for free with the purchase of the "Snow Wonderland" fabric by Red Rooster to make this wall quilt. This cute quilt features chenille snowmen with button features. Once you see this soft and cozy quilt, you'll have to have one for yourself!

Road Trip

Prairie Flower Quilt Co. hit the road last week for a little fun and lots of learning. We attended a two day training on our Statler Stitcher quilting machine in eastern Nebraska. Of course, we did a little market research along the way....visiting other quilt shops and gathering ideas. We had lots of road time to plan classes, events and activities in the coming months, so stay tuned!

It's Magic!

We've been playing with a new product called Texture Magic. You simply sew this product to the back of your fabric, apply steam, and the fabric magically shrinks approximately 30%, creating a beautiful textured effect. Stop in the shop and see the grommet handbag and the snowman pillow we've made using Texture Magic.

Pretty Posies

The newest line of fabric to arrive at the shop is called "Painted Posies" by Andover Fabrics. These bright colors are perfect for a little (or big) girl's quilt. Stop in and pick the whole bouquet of fabrics for your next project!

Fabric Challenge

Congratulations to Karalea Bishop - winner of our Fair Fabric Challenge! All of the entries were wonderful but Karalea's was deemed the most creative by the judge. Her entry was a picnic basket filled with placemats, napkins, etc. for a beautiful outdoor tablesetting on the prairie. Thank you to everyone who entered our Fair Fabric Challenge!

Bagalicious

A woman can never have enough handbags! Learn to make one of the most popular handbags on the sewing market today. On Monday, August 17 beginning at 5:30 p.m., we'll teach you how to make the "Miranda Day Bag" by Lazy Girl Designs. The class is free if you purchase your supplies in the shop. This bag is sooo cute, it's "bagalicious"!

BAM!

It's the second Saturday and you know what that means....It's Block A Month! We're on the downhill slide - block #9. So join us on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and watch the assembly demo and show 'n tell of what's new at the shop. If you can't make it on Saturday, join us for a repeat on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Beat the Heat

....with a winter project made from the newest holiday fabric to arrive at the shop. "Through the Woods" by Maywood Studios is so cute and really sharp looking with its red, black and white color scheme! Just looking at these jolly snowmen makes the 100 degree weather outside seem much cooler!
