Tell us about (or better yet, show us) your snow day sewing projects! Sharla spent part of the day working on this project (& she had a whole lot more fun that Belinda did working on her taxes!). This cute quilt is made from American Jane's newest collection called "Snippets" by Moda. Next will come an inner border of pink (or maybe yellow) prairie points and an outer border of the focal fabric that features paper dolls on it. Comment to this blog entry and tell us about your snow day sewing project for a chance to win a little prize. Enter before Friday, April 3 at midnight to get your name entered in the prize drawing!

I'm in Spring Hill, Kansas, just south of Olathe and we got about 4 inches of snow after a quarter inch of ice. Probably not much compared to you guys in Western Kansas. I spent the day trying to finish up a quilt that I started in 2003. I had started hand quilting it way back then and hadn't worked on it since. I'm in the mode of finishing up UFO's right now and have gotten quite a few done. I just finished hand quilting that quilt today and will put the binding on tomorrow. Mindy Peterson
My latest project... is my second scarf. (Thanks Amy for the wonderful class, it was so much fun.) I used all cotton fabric from your shop and added a layer of osnaburg fabric on each side to give it a little more fray look. I also took the ends apart after cutting it to add to the look of it. I've had lots of comments on it and it was alot of fun to make. I love seeing how each one turns out differently.
